Well the fishing was pretty good as a summary of our three day group traveling all the way from Africa. On our first day April 8th we had just a half day of fishing due to mechanical issues. However, we did raise a few fish and release one sail and had a dorado to take home for our short time. April 9th we resolved the issues from the previous day and made up for our loss with 10 for 14 sails, 1 for 2 dorado, and 0 for 2 Blue Marlin. Lots of Blues out there! Anything from 200 lbs to estimated 450 lbers were being released by the half dozen each day. April 10th, we had a terrible day in regards to the mates struggling with the hook ups. We had just as many bites as the 2nd day but missed several hits. We released 3 and probably had around 10 to 11 solid bites. Sadly we had another Blue Marlin come into our spread and he simply cleaned us out, again! There are many boats out there releasing Blues and several sails. Fun time to be in Guatemala as our group from Botswana Africa found out. Thank you two again for choosing Blue Bayou Sport Fishing of Guatemala. We will be in Africa soon for our safari. See ya soon, Capt Starrs
