Blue Bayou Packages & Rates

At the Blue Bayou Sport Fishing lodge we have a very impressive line up of classic name boats, as well as other makes that will suit your fishing needs and then some.   All of the listed boats are designed to raise bill fish while saving greatly on fuel consumption. All of these aspects factor into one of the most affordable sport fishing lodges in Central America with the best results time after time.

Each boat comes with the best local Captains in the region.  All Captains are certified Guatemalan Captains and average a minimum of 10 years or more as a Captain.  Rest assure experience is behind the helm, as well as most of our crew speaks english for easy communication.  Lastly, all of our Captains & Mates are experts in both conventional and fly fishing, as well as lite tackle if interested.

By popular demand we are starting to combine smaller groups in a shared boat effort.  Which means splitting the bill and creating major savings.  Ask us which months & groups have such arrangements, and we will match you up.  We will even pair you based on the type of group (fly anglers, conventional, inshore, marlin off shore).  No matter what, the best value will come with a group of 4.  So if you have 2, we should be able to get two more and make this trip that much more afforadable.

Velamosca

''Velamosca'' a play of words in Spainsh meaning ''see the fly'' or ''Sail fly''.

This 2001 pro sports is a new addition to our growing fleet.   She has a 8.5'' Beam and is 26.5 feet in total length. She is perfect for everything Guatemala has to offer.   This boat is pushed by new, twin 150hp suzuki 4 stroke motors.  This boat will get you fishing waters quickly at a comfortable 45 mph cruising speed and barely make any noise while doing so.  That is critical for fly fishing anglers receiving instructions from the Captain and mates.  She will have a  Lowance GPS/Sounder/Chart Plotter, with a Garmin back up system.  This type of boat is fun to pitch a fly from.  Big, yet compact and with a new tower be adding and new booth seating in the cockpit area, it will hold as many as 4 anglers comfortably with lots of shad.  If you want value for your package this boat gives you more time fishing and less time driving to the fishing waters.

Additional notes* Below toliet, New Tower Being Added, Stereo System  rigged for I pods, and a live bait bubblier.

This boat is a 30' foot by 9.5 beam classic design Albemarle.  She has been refitted with two diesel Yanmar 240's, and cruises very solidly at 22 knots with a top end of 25 knots if the sea is permitting.  This boat is greatly efficient with usually just 60 to 70 gallons needed for a full days run.  We include Shimano TLD 20's and 30's.  Also we have a great stereo system with an ipod hook up for personal play lists.  Lastly this boat does come with a electric head in the below cabin.

Tranquility

This is a beautiful 31 bertram recently repowered by a pair of cummins turbo diesels.  This is truley a classic and gets the fish up in big numbers.  31 Bertrams have minium wash behind the boat and this helps the fish see both the teasers, baits, and most importantly the fly.  A boat like this one will only consume 50 gallons in a full days charter.

This boat also has a head below, comfy beaches, lots of shade, and a nice music system.

Drop it!

Another bertram, 28' that is a true fishing machine.  This boat also is super effienct powered by twin yanmars.  We have done 50 gallons on a 40 mile day.  Capt Alex really knows how to raise fish, and you can rest assure that you are in a reiable vessel based off the care for this boat.  All of our boats get the 10 trip oil change and service, while always looking polished for our guest.

This boat has a head below, and plenty of comfy seating and shade.
