Welcome to the lodge with the best price point of all Guatemala. It all comes down to what you want to spend, but rest assure all of our boats and crews fish at a high level and use only the best.

At the Blue Bayou Sport Fishing lodge we have a very impressive line up of classic name boats, as well as other makes that will suit your fishing needs and then some. All of the listed boats are designed to raise bill fish! As well as regular winners in the local tournament scene.

Each boat comes with the best local Captains in the region & one American Capt over seeing the group. All Captains are certified Captains and average a minimum of 10 years or more as a Captain. Rest assure experience is behind the helm, as well as all of our crew speaks decent english for easy communication. Lastly, all of our Captains & Mates are experts in both conventional and fly fishing, as well as lite tackle if interested.

1974 35' Bertram. Powered by twin Cummins diesels. Perfect boat for Guatemala as no sea can slow her down. Massive cockpit, AC, very comfortable seating, and the very popular shad cover that retracts when the bite is on. Your guide is Captain Chris Starrs, a USCG Captain who has been fishing these waters for 14 yrs now. This Bertram gets yearly paint and is in show room condition. A 21 knot cruising boat.

Denmark

A 34' express Luhrs powered by twin 380 HP Yanmar engines. She has a 23 knot cruise. Listed as one of the top 50 sport fishers of all time this unique layout is perfect for our fishery. The bi-level seating allows you to see what the Captain sees, as well as the below cabin is great between bites to cool down with its ice cold AC. You will be senor Capt Juan Bomba who has been fishing these waters for 35 years!
Gringo

The Gringo is a twin yanmar powered, Costa Rica built 31' Gamerfisherman. Very fast boat, while sipping fuel and she can spin on dime. A great option for 2-3 anglers, while still offering a big cockpit. Plenty of shad, inclosed head, hot boat with a great crew.

The 31 bertram. This 31 has low hour cummins Bs rated at 300 hp per side. Very good crew as well. Lots of shade, and comfy beds on the motor boxes.
Piragua

Another great 31 bertram that raises fish! Pushed by 3208 CATS, she gets the fish up in a hurry, while the crew takes professionalism to another level.
This boat also has a head, MP3 system, and plenty of room and shade to enjoy.

Captain Hook

The Captain Hook is a 43' Willis made famous by Capt Ronny Hamlin. The boat is powered by twin Cummins Cs 450hp diesels, and was built in North Carolina by master boat builders. Its wooden hull produces ''The Hum'' that gets billfish chasing it. This reason is why it has set so many single day catch and release records.
