May 25th, 2017 Marlin Report Guatemala

The bite is slowly starting to improve down in Guatemala.  While being out last Monday Jan 4th, 2010 with still a 3/4 moon, we released 5 sails for 7 raised, and hooked 1 for 2, 25 plus lb dorado all at just 10 miles.  The water temp is holding at 82 to 83 degrees, which is a bit cold for sails (we like 85 to 86)  and more ideal for Marlin. However, Marlin are simply not that close yet and the sails are starting to school up and become easier to pattern.  Next week we are expecting everything to be back to the norm.  We will keep you posted!
